Welcome

“There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance…”

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4

 Dear Friends of SeAM,

With great joy, we celebrate 31 years of amazing, life-changing ministry made possible by the work of volunteers and the generosity of contributors to Southeast Asian Ministry. Many hands and feet have accomplished the mission of assisting refugees and immigrants as they acclimate to a new life in the United States. This achievement is one we can celebrate and of which we can be proud.

It is with sadness, then, that we recognize the time has come for us to close our doors. When SeAM began its work in the 1980s, there were few organizations around to welcome and meet the needs of refugees arriving in Minnesota. Today, many more organizations have sprung up to assist them in their transition.

With gratitude,

 Jennifer Schneider, Executive Director

on behalf of the

Southeast Asian Ministry Board of Directors
